Updated Local Rules for Better Play
Mooroopna Golf Club has introduced new local rules to enhance your playing experience on the course. These updates have been approved by Golf Captain Max Newman as of 11 December and are designed to provide greater flexibility during your round.
Bunker Rake and Power Line Rule
The new local rule addresses situations where your ball hits a bunker rake standing upright or power lines. In these circumstances, you now have the choice to play your shot again or play it as it lies. This gives you greater control over how you manage these situations during your game.
This rule change recognises that bunker rakes and power lines can create unpredictable outcomes, and provides a fair option for all players. Whether you choose to replay the shot or accept where the ball has landed is entirely up to you.
We hope these updated local rules make your experience at Mooroopna Golf Club even more enjoyable. If you have any questions about the new rules, feel free to speak with our friendly staff or Golf Captain Max Newman.
